Handmade Byzantine Icon of Virgin Mary "Queen of the Universe" with Jesus Christ. The icon is a copy of the Prototype found at the Holy Monastery Vatopediou.
The miraculous Icon of Panagia "Queen of the Universe" dates from the 17th century and it is located in the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi on Mount Athos, where the elder Joseph brought it from Nea Skete.
It is an Icon with great miraculous power as the elders also state with various incidents. The first miracle performed by the Icon of Panagia "Queen of the Universe" was one day, when a young man entered the Temple to worship the icon, when suddenly a flash of light struck him down.
After this miraculous event, the young man confessed to the elders that he was not living by the Word of God, and with this miracle he found the way to salvation.
The Icon of Panagia "Queen of the Universe" is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
