Saints

The Silver Icons in this special category are exact handmade copies, and for this reason, the dimensions are specific. The hooks for hanging on the wall are nails for horseshoes, and the nails on the periphery of the icons that hold the frame are different, as they were in the original icons.

The themes are painted on canvas by experienced iconographers in the traditional manner of Byzantine art. The wood is oak and comes from the Mount Athos area. The icons are silver with special treatment to remain unchanged through the years. Some icons have gilded details.

The openings of the faces, hands, and other details of the depicted saints are done by hand, one by one. The halos are done similarly.
