Handmade Byzantine Icon of Jesus Christ and the Samaritan Woman.
According to the Gospel of John, Jesus Christ was crossing Samaria when he stopped at Jacob's well to rest. There, a woman also arrived to collect water and Jesus, after asking her to give Him a drink, told her things He knew about her life and revealed to her that He is the Messiah. The Samaritan woman believed in His words and became the first female apostle of Jesus Christ.
The icon of Jesus Christ and the Samaritan Woman is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
