Handmade Byzantine Icon of Panagia Giatrissa.

The miraculous Icon of Panagia Giatrissa was found from Jerusalem in Loutraki, through a woman who had traveled to the Holy Land and brought it as a gift to a loved one.

Over the years, the Ιcon performed many miracles and helped many people with health problems.

Out of reverence, the residents decided to build a church dedicated to the miracles of the Icon. The Holy Monastery of Panagia Giatrissa is also built on the ridge of Taygetos.

The Icon of Panagia Giatrissa is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.

During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.

It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
