Silver Icons

Silver Plated Holy Icons made of 950 silver with selected wooden frame. The painted parts of the icon are hand-painted and are the reproduction of a Byzantine masterpiece.

This tradition began in the early Orthodox years, when handmade icons began to be coated with silver or copper, giving each sacred Icon a distinct image. According to history, this tradition started as a gift ("Tama" in Greek) in the name of God, and not for decorative purpose or to improve the appearance of the icon.

Today, we are able to provide a wide variety of silver icons with depictions of Christ, the Virgin Mary, the Saints and other religious subjects .
