Saint John was the son of Zebedee and Salome and was one of the first followers of John the Baptist and also one of the first disciples of Jesus Christ.
His missionary work was great as were the miracles he often performed. He wrote the "Gospel of John" and during his exile in Patmos under Domitian he wrote the "Revelation of John" also known as the "Apocalypse".
Saint John the Theologian and Evangelist is an important figure of the Scriptures as his teachings and his sermons such as "Love one another" still remain a bright path in the souls of Christians.
Saint Prochorus the Apostle was one of the Seven Deacons who took care of the community of the poor in Jerusalem and one of the Seventy Disciples chosen by Jesus Christ to preach His teaching. After the Dormition of the Virgin, Apostle Prochorus was exiled to Patmos together with Saint John the Theologian.
