Saint James the Apostle, son of Alphaeus, was one of the Twelve Disciples of Jesus Christ, but he is distinguished from James, son of Zebedee. The Scriptures, do not refer much about his life, except his birth in Galilee and his apostolic work in Gaza, Palestine and Egypt, where he was martyred.
