Angels are incorporeal creations of God with knowledge superior to that of humans. In the Christian tradition, Angels have different roles according to their hierarchy.
The knowledge of the heavens is left to the Angels Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones. The performing of miracles and other holy actions are works of Dominions, Powers and Virtues. Finally, the hierarchy of Principalities, Archangels and Angels are at the service of God to carry out his orders and deliver his messages. In this hierarchy belong the Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
The choirs of myriad Angels have appeared in many characters of the Scriptures while they are known to advocate for the protection of man.

Supreme Leaders of the Heavenly Hosts, we implore you that by your prayers you will encircle us, unworthy as we are, with the protection of the wings of your immaterial glory and guard us who fall down before you and fervently cry: deliver us from dangers, for you are the commanders of the powers above.
The aging technique is meticulously applied to the Icon by hand and gives it the look of time while the depiction retains its artistic details.
Around the perimeter, the aging becomes more apparent with frayed edges that give the Icon a distinctive appearance.
During the final processing, the Aged-Wooden Icon of Angel Chanter is polished with a special varnish to withstand time.
