Unique Museum Copy of Virgin Amolintos.It is called The Virgin of the Passion and Formidable Protection. This icon shows the saddest countenance of the Virgin among all the other icongraphic types. Christ turns his head towards the left and sees the angel who is holding the Cross while the other angel is holding the symbols of Passion. The icon is painted in egg tempera on wood and the two prototypes are to be found in Fiesole of Florence and Saint Alphonso of Rome.
