Unique Museum copy of Virgin of Tichvin.A Russian icon which is painted in egg tempera on wood and is found in the Rubliev Musieum in Moscow.It follows the iconograthic type of the Virgin “Hodegetria”, which name derives from an identical icon that was found in the Hodegon Monastery in Constantinople and which was carried in procession during ceremonies and war.
