Handmade Byzantine Icon of Twelve-Year-Old Jesus in the Temple.
When Jesus Christ was twelve years old, he visited the Temple of Solomon, on the annual pilgrimage of the Jews, together with Panagia and Joseph. On the way back, Christ was not with the crowd and so Panagia and Joseph returned to Jerusalem to look for him. They found him in the Temple, teaching the Scribes and the rest of the world the Word of God.
The icon of Twelve-Year-Old Jesus in the Temple is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
