Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Lydia.
Saint Lydia was the first Macedonian woman to be baptized a Christian by the Apostle Paul on the banks of the river Zygaktos, near Philippi where Paul preached the teaching of Jesus Christ.
Apolytikion
Revering God with an upright intellect, through Paul she accepted the splendor of Grace, and was first with her entire household, in Philippi to believe in Christ, O godly-minded one, wherefore we honor you with songs of praise, Lydia of Philippi: glory to Him Who was well-pleased with you, glory to Him Who filled you with radiance, glory to Him Who gives through you greater things.
The Icon of Saint Lydia is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the Icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
