Handmade Byzantine Icon of Jesus Christ Blessing, the Pantocrator. Christ is depicted blessing with his right hand and holding the Gospel with the left.
Christ Pantokrator (commonly translated as "Almighty" or "All Powerful"), as preserved in the Sinai hagiography, is the most popular representation of Jesus Christ and usually decorates the domes of Byzantine Churches. The icon of Pantocrator emphasizes his omnipotence and declares his glory at the Second Coming.
The icon of Jesus Christ the Pantocrator is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
