Handmade Byzantine Icon of Jesus Christ Blessing (the Life-Giver). Jesus Christ is depicted blessing with his right hand and holding the Gospel with his left.
On the open page of the Gospel we read the verse from the book of John: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die" which comes from the miracle of resurrection of Lazarus. With this miracle, Jesus Christ revealed that he is the one who gives life with his word.
The icon of Jesus Christ Blessing is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
