The miraculous Icon of Panagia "Queen of the Universe" (in Greek "Pantanassa") dates from the 17th century and it is located in the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi on Mount Athos, where the elder Joseph brought it from Nea Skete.
It is an Icon with great miraculous power as the elders also state with various incidents. The first miracle performed by the Icon of Panagia Pantanassa was one day, when a young man entered the Temple to worship the icon, when suddenly a flash of light struck him down.
After this miraculous event, the young man confessed to the elders that he was not living by the Word of God, and with this miracle he found the way to salvation.
