Byzantine Hand Painted Icon with Panagia of Dion.
The miraculous Icon of Panagia of Dion, although it is kept in the Holy Monastery of Estavromenou in Pessada, belongs to the small Church of the rock island of Dias (Zeus), which is located on the southwest side of Kephallenia.
Every summer, on the day of the feast of Panagia of Dion, the icon is moved to its original position and a litany takes place in the presence of the residents, who arrive in boats.
Hand-Painted Icons occupy a valuable place in ecclesiastical art because, beyond their obvious artistic value, a hand-painted icon unites man with the holiness of the depicted person.
For the Hand-Painted Icon of Panagia of Dion, our experienced painters use traditional techniques and high-quality materials that offer excellent depiction and durability over time.
