Byzantine Hand Painted Icon of Saint Alexander, Patriarch of Constantinople.
Saint Alexander was Patriarch of Constantinople and exercised his duties with great piety. He took part in the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea for the condemnation of Arianism, and for this reason he made tours in Macedonia, Thrace and the rest of Greece.
He passed away peacefully in 337 AD.

Now, O Fathers Alexander the divinely-wise, wondrous John, and glorious Paul, ye stand before His throne; wherefore, fervently intercede with Him to save our souls.
