Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Stylianos, of Paphlagonia.
Saint Stylianos was born in Asia Minor to a wealthy family, whose property he gave to the poor when he came of age. He then retired to the desert and led an ascetic life, often performing miracles for women who were unable to bear children.
He passed away peacefully in Paphlagonia on an unknown date.
Because of the love he had for small children, Saint Stylianos is considered the patron Saint of children who are ill and the orphans.
Apolytikion
A living monument of self restraint, an immovable pillar of the Church you were shown to be, blessed Stylianos, for you were dedicated to God from your youth, and were seen as a dwelling place of the Spirit. Holy Father, entreat Christ our God, to grant us His great mercy.
The Icon of Saint Stylianos is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the Icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
