Byzantine Hand Painted Icon of Saint Donatos.
Saint Donatos lived in the years of the emperor Theodosius the Great, who had invited him to Constantinople to cure his daughter of the disease that afflicted her.
At that time, Saint Donatos was bishop of Evrea in Epirus, to which position he was elected at the age of thirty. He was known for his miraculous work and his charitable work in favor of his flock.
He passed away peacefully around 388 AD.
