Byzantine Hand Painted Icon of Saint Seraphim.
Saint Seraphim was born near Agrafa and received a Christian education. He devoted himself to the monastic life and stood out for his virtues and his faith. Αs a result he became abbot of the Monastery of the Theotokos in Korona. Later he was ordained Archbishop of Fanari and Neochori.
He was arrested by the Turks on false accusations of conspiracy against Dionysios the Philosopher and was severely tortured to deny his faith.
In December 1604 Saint Seraphim was executed. His holy chariot is kept in the Monastery of the Theotokos in Korona very good condition.

The offspring of Agrafa, the leader of Phanarion, and the boast of Koronis Monastery, Seraphim let us honor for he struggled radiantly for Christ, and he freely pours forth miracles and delivers from corrupting diseases, those who cry out in faith: Glory to Him Who gave you strength, Glory to Him Who made you wondrous, Glory to Him Who grants through you, healings for all.
