Byzantine Hand Painted Icon of Paul the Apostle.
Paul the Apostle was born in Tarsus, Cilicia with the name Saul, and he converted to Christianity after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In Jerusalem, he studied Jewish Theology and left a large literary work. His desire to highlight the teaching of Jesus Christ prompted him to make missionary journeys, in Asia Minor, Greece and Italy, in order to preach the Word of God.
Our Church honors the memory of Paul the Apostle together with that of the Apostle Peter.
