Handmade Byzantine Icon of Panagia "Amolyntos" Immaculate. The icon depicts Panagia holding Jesus Christ in her arms.
Monk Pavlos of the monastery of Theotokos Euergetis in Constantinople, composed the compline from which the Panagia "Amolyntos" Immaculate took her name as it carries the lyrics: "Immaculate, undefiled, uncorrupted, chaste, bride of God and pure Virgin".
In addition, the Panagia Amolyntos is also known as the Virgin Mary of Passion from the symbols of Passion (Cross, Spear and Sponge) held by the two Angels at the top of the image.
The icon of Panagia "Amolyntos" Immaculate is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
