Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Xenophon, of Constantinople.
Saint Xenophon was a resident of Constantinople with his family during the reigns of Justin I and Justinian. They were wealthy people but humble, and always close to the Word of God and faith. Once, the ship carrying the two adult children of the family to Phoenicia was wrecked, but they were rescued. After this miracle, the two children traveled to Jerusalem to follow an ascetic life.
When Saint Xenophon and his wife, Maria, discovered that their sons dedicated themselves to God, they decided to follow them and leave their life in Constantinople. They indulged in great charity and lived a virtuous life until their death.

The Icon of Saint Xenophon is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the Icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
