Handmade Byzantine Icon of Holy Prophet Elias.
Holy Prophet Elias lived in Gilead and exercised his prophetic work during the 9th and 10th centuries. His name, Elias, means "Yah is My God" in Hebrew. He lived an ascetic life and showed great zeal for the Teaching of God. His miracles were many and magnificent which testify to his highest theological importance.

The incarnate Angel, the Cornerstone of the Prophets, the second Forerunner of the Coming of Christ, the glorious Elias (Elijah), who from above, sent down to Elisha the grace to dispel sickness and cleanse lepers, abounds therefore in healing for those who honor him.
The Icon of Holy Prophet Elias is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
