Saints from Euboea, Greece - Byzantine Icon
[Model: BYZ_st-4657]
Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saints from Euboea.
The Saints from Euboea are 26 Saints who are honored in Euboea because of the special connection they each had with the island. They are celebrated on the Sunday of Paralytic, as established in 1971 by the Metropolitan of Chalkidos Nikolaos of the time.
The Icon of Saints from Euboea is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
Iconographer: Monks Paul And Christopher, Mount Athos

by Andrew Lumsden, UKDate Added: Friday 10 November, 2017 Hello OramaWorld,
My order arrived safely this morning.
Once again holy Icons all look amazing, I am so pleased with them. They complement the others I recently bought from you.
Church friends have admired them and one of my local priests said they are good examples of read holy icons.
Many thanks again and I look forward to buying from your company again.
Best wishes and God bless.
