Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Epiphanius, Bishop of Cyprus.
Saint Epiphanius was born into a poor family without significant education, but he was taught the Scriptures and the ascetic life by Lucian and Hilarion.
He then fled to Palestine to devote himself to prayer and asceticism. Quickly, his name became known and he was appointed bishop of Constantia, Cyprus. As a bishop, Saint Epiphanius made sure to strengthen the faith of his flock with teachings and sermons inspired by the Holy Bible and the life of Jesus Christ.
He passed away peacefully in 403 AD.

O God of our Fathers, ever dealing with us according to Thy gentleness: take not Thy mercy from us, but by their entreaties guide our life in peace.
The Icon of Saint Epiphanius is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
