Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Aemilian.
Saint Aemilian was born in today's Silistra, Bulgaria, in the years of Julian the Transgressor. He served as a slave to a pagan, who, when he found out about Aemilian's faith, became enraged and tortured him.
However, Saint Aemilian did not waver and fought with vigor against the pagans, even destroying a temple with idols. For this act, he was imprisoned and severely tortured. In order to exterminate him completely, they threw him into the fire.
Troparion of Saint Aemilian
Holy martyr Emilian, / you defended the Church against the idolatry of the pagans. / Because of your faith in Christ, / you were martyred by fire and through a glorious death received your crown. / Pray to Christ God that He may grant us great mercy.
The Icon of Saint Aemilian is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
