Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Gregory Palamas.
Saint Gregory Palamas was born in 1296 in Constantinople. After receiving education alongside important teachers of the time, he went to the Papikio mountain of the Rhodopes to devote himself to the practice of prayer. His next destination was Mount Athos where he remained until 1331.
A few years later, he was elected Archbishop of Thessaloniki, developing great theological activity.
He died peacefully in 1359.

O luminary of Orthodoxy, support and teacher of the Church, / ideal of monks and invincible champion of theologians, / O wonderworker Gregory, boast of Thessalonika and herald of grace, / always intercede for all of us that our souls may be saved.
The Icon of Saint Gregory Palamas is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
