Ezekiel the Prophet began to prophesy when he was thirty years old. He was an enemy of idolatry and, for this reason, he was condemned to death by the tribe of Gad.
In the book of Ezekiel the Prophet, there are prophecies about the destruction of Jerusalem, the fate of pagan nations and the resurrection of the dead, which is read on Good Friday after the Epitaph procession.

The Icon of Ezekiel the Prophet is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
