Handmade Byzantine Icon of David the Prophet.
David the Prophet was born in Bethlehem and was anointed king by the prophet Samuel. With the permission of Saul, who reigned at that time, he confronted Goliath, who was terrorizing the Jews.
From then on, David became really beloved by the Jewish people and was highly praised for his exploits. Upon Saul's death, he became king and his people prospered greatly due to his ability to rule. Moreover, he had prophesied the coming of the Messiah, as can be seen from his psalms.
After about forty years of being King, he was succeeded by his son Solomon, and he died peacefully in old age.
The Icon of David the Prophet is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
