Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Symeon the Theologian.
Saint Symeon the Theologian was born in Paphlagonia from a wealthy family. In his teenage years, he was sent to Constantinople to study under great teachers, so he be nurtured in faith and patience.
At the age of 27, he began his monastic life at the Monastery of Stoudios and then at the Monastery of Saint Mamas, where he was elected bishop a few years later.
Dissatisfied with his popularity, the Bishop of Nicomedia, Stefanos, exiled him to the opposite side of the Propontis, to the place where Saint Symeon finally built the Monastery of Saint Marina.
He passed away peacefully at an old age, leaving behind a great work of writing.

The Icon of Saint Symeon the Theologian is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
