Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Salome the Myrrh-Bearing.
Saint Salome the Myrrh-Bearing was married to Zebedaeus, with whom she had two sons, Jacob and John. She was a cousin of the Virgin Mary and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Along with the rest of the Myrrh-Bearers, she attended the martydom of Jesus Christ in Golgotha and anointed His body with myrrh after his death.
She dedicated herself to the great work started by Jesus Christ for the Christian faith and helped with missionary work to highlight His teaching.

Lowering Your pure body from the Cross, Joseph wrapped it in clean muslin with fragrant spices and laid it in a new tomb. But on the third day You arose, O Lord, and granted the world Your great mercy.
The Icon of Saint Salome the Myrrh-Bearing is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
