Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Hepomone (in Greek meaning Patience).
Saint Hepomone, born Eleni Dragasi-Paleologou, was born in 1372 in Serbia and was the daughter of Bishop. He grew up with a Byzantine education and was taught the Word of God. She married Manuel II Palaiologos and had nine children, three of whom died.
Saint Hepomone, although she was experiencing an unhappy marriage, taught her children to live a frugal life and to pray for salvation while she often helped the people with charity.
After her death in 1450, Saint Hepomone was buried in the Holy Monastery of Pantokrator of Christ in Constantinople.

The noble queen let us hymn, Hepomone the Righteous, the pious dove who flew from the world's disarray towards the dwlling place of heaven, in unending love, asceticism and humility, crying, shatter, by your prayers, the shackles of the lawless, O queen.
The Icon of Saint Hepomone is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
