Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Savvas.
Saint Savvas came from Cappadocia and at a young age decided to follow a monastic life.
At the age of eighteen he went to Jerusalem and joined a convent. There, he stood out for his virtues and his devotion to the Word of God, and as a result of which Euthymius the Great proclaimed him a children's elder.
He passed away peacefully in 584 AD at an advanced age. When his tomb was opened years later, his incorruptible remains were revealed.

With the rivers of your tears, you have made the barren desert fertile. Through sighs of sorrow from deep within you, your labors have borne fruit a hundred-fold. By your miracles you have become a light, shining upon the world. O Savas, our Holy Father, pray to Christ our God, to save our souls.
The Icon of Saint Savvas is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
