Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Panteleemon.
Saint Panteleemon was born in Nicomedia in Asia Minor to an idolater father and a Christian mother, from whom she received the knowledge of the Scriptures. He was baptized by Saint Ermolaos and with the help of God, but also his medical knowledge, he cured every disease. Because of his philanthropy, his original name which was "Pantoleon" which meant "all lion", became "Panteleemon" meaning "merciful to all".
He was condemned to death under the reign of Maximian, when he healed a blind man who boldly martyred his healer. After horrific torture, Saint Panteleemon was beheaded in 305 AD. .

The Icon of Saint Panteleemon is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
