The Bishop Crosiers came from the abbots of the monasteries of the East who had under their administration large solitary communities and held a rod as a support for the long sequences. Over the centuries, the Despotic Rod has become a symbol of their administrative or pastoral power.
Their original construction was made of plain wood and then valuable was used.
Today, the Bishop Crosiers are metal and their ends are turned upwards and end in twin snakes.
Our collection includes unique designs from Bishop Crosiers which are gilded and specially processed so that they do not lose their shine.
