World Orthodox Directory is an OramaWorld.com initiative, started in 2006, with aim to become the most complete online directory of worldwide Orthodox Heritage, Presence and Community Service Activities.

The directory currently includes more than a thousand listings for Monasteries, Churches, Cathedrals, Chapels, Missions, Sketes, Orphanages, Nursing-homes, Schools and Universities. Initially we have included information for North America and Australia and gradually we will cover all other areas of the world.

The home page of the Guide includes an Interactive Map based on Google Maps technology, showing the density of entries per region. There are three different levels of entries (global, country and county/state) with corresponding interactive maps. The display of entries is supported by especial icons for each category for easy identification.

We aim the Directory to be completed with the contribution of its visitors, therefore we invite you to add new information or update existing. This possibility is given through the two options at the top right menu and you will have to pass through a simple registration stating your email in order to send you an activation code.
