"Lighten a Church" is a service that brings together Priests or Parish Council Officers who need goods and facilities for their Church that can not afford to acquire and Donators that are willing to support. The service gives the ability to our site visitors to donate to Churches with specific contributions that the corresponding Priests have previously selected.

To accomodate this service we have created an Orthodox Church Directory, initially including churches from America. Very soon we will update this Directory with Orthodox Churches from Australia, Europe and Rest of the World. The Orthodox Church Directory can be found in the Services box on the left column or by clicking here!

For each Church in the Directory there is a Need-list in which the responsible Priest can add goods that needs to have for the Church. On the other hand, OramaWorld Visitors that wish to support, can use the Directory to find the Church they are interested to help, browse the Church Need-list and if they decide to donate to move items from the Church Need-list to their Shopping Carts and purchase them for the Church.

To facilitate further this service, for each Visitor there is a personal "My Churches" List. that can be filled with Churches from the Directory that he/she would like to be affiliated with specific affiliation level. The levels with the corresponding services that can choose to have for each Church in the "My Churches" list are shown below:
