Handmade Byzantine Icon of Saint Isaac of Syria.
Saint Isaac came from Syria and at a young age, along with his brother, abandoned worldly affairs and retired to a convent. After years, he decided to become an ascetic on his own, encountering many temptations and obstacles, which he managed to overcome through his faith.
The lessons he received from his practice, he recorded in the book "On Ascetical Life", which is part of his great written work that is still studied today.
Apolytikion of Saint Isaac of Syria
He that thundered on Sinai with saving laws for man hath also given thy writings as guides in prayer unto monks, O revealer of unfathomable mysteries; for having gone up in the mount of the vision of the Lord, thou wast shown the many mansions. Wherefore, O God-bearing Isaac, entreat the Saviour for all praising thee.
The Icon of Saint Isaac of Syria is an exact copy of Byzantine art and is created by experienced craftsmen using the method of gold printing where hagiographic leaves of 22 karat gold are applied in detail to decorate the background.
During the final processing, the icon is painted with dark red color around the perimeter and polished with a special varnish to maintain its shine.
It is offered in level or recessed wooden surface and is suitable for wall mounting.
