Our Name comes from the Greek word Orama that means Vision and
together with the word World (Ecumenical) depicts our vision for serving all Christians around the
globe with quality hand crafted religious goods. Our Symbol, the double headed eagle, is the Emblem of
Byzantium and Orthodox Christianity. The double headed eagle looks at all the world both east and west. An eagle
can see far away, further than any other creature. A double headed eagle sees everything; it symbolizes foresight,
wisdom, prophesying, as it is mentioned in the writings of Christian Holy Fathers.
Following, our mission is to provide quality hand crafted
religious items and offer all our customers a unique shopping experience. In our effort to offer the best
products available, we affiliate with the best workshops of ecclesiastical items and monasteries in
South-Eastern Europe. Our craftsmen and iconographers are crafting and painting with great respect to the Orthodox
Tradition and Byzantine Art. We have filmed one of our craftsmen preparing a chalice set with enamel and

In 2006 we launched the World Orthodox Directory, an initiative that
aims to become the most complete online directory of Worldwide Orthodox Heritage, Presence and Community Service
Activities. The directory currently includes more than 7,000 listings of Monasteries, Churches, Cathedrals,
Chapels, Missions, Sketes, Orphanages, Nursing-homes, Museums, Schools and Seminaries from approximately 50 countries
from all over the World.
During the composition of our Founding Statement, back in September
1999, we decided annually to offer 1% from every order we will receive to Philanthropic efforts, with the idea
of having our customers indirectly contributed to each of them. The first 8 years we offered this amount to the following Community
Service Activities:
2000/1 - Eccleciastical Orphanage of Vouliagmeni
2002 - Lirio Institution for Children
2003 - Doctors without Borders
2004 - Hemophilia Society
2005/6 - To Hamogelo tou Pediou
2007 - SOS Childrens Villages
2008 - United Nations Childrens Fund Organisation
Since 2008 we have launched the "Lighten a Church" service, that brings
together Priests or Parish Council Officers, who need goods and facilities for their Church that can not afford to
acquire, and Donators that are willing to support. The service gives the ability to our site visitors to donate to
Churches with specific contributions that the corresponding Priests have previously selected. We are very pleased to
have directly "lighten" the following churches:

2010 - Protection of the Mother of God Ukrainian Church at Sao Jose dos Pinhais, Brazil
